Singer Percy Sledge (RIP)
74 year old Soul musician Percy Sledge, known for the classic 1966 hit “When a Man Loves a Woman” died Tuesday morning at his Baton Rouge home.
The East Baton Rouge Parish coroner confirmed the singer’s death. Dr. William “Beau” Clark said Sledge died just after midnight. According to the Fans of Percy Sledge Facebook page, he passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning at his home surrounded by his wife Rosa and their children after a long battle with cancer.es at Baton Rouge home after battle with cancer
