WHO IS SIGNATURE CUSTOM QUINTOS?

Bajo Quinto (Spanish: “fifth bass”) is a Mexican string instrument with 10 strings in 5 double courses. The Mexican originated bajo quinto instruments are used primarily in Norteño music of northern Mexico and across the border. The bajo quinto sound provides a strong rhythm in the lower pitched end of a group band known as “conjunto” and also provides a strong projection of chord changes across songs.
Signature Custom Quintos provides bajo quinto instruments from the very respected origin of Paracho, Michoacan, Mexico. An origin well known for its quality in acoustic instruments.
Once arriving in California these bajo quintos instruments are exposed to the artistic Lowrider culture. Signature Custom Quintos stands for more than just instruments, but family, culture, history, art and a great appreciation for music of all genres.
