Well our very own Mike Epps did that! Yes, he got the role as Richard Pryor, despite openly campaigning for the role, Mr. Nick Cannon did not get the role. The film’s director, Lee Daniels, posted a photo of himself, Oprah Winfrey and Epps … with the caption, “And we’re off… Get ready y’all for #richardpryor” Cannon was very outspoken about wanting the role, posting a pic on Instagram of himself and Pryor. He even talked about how badly he wanted the part. No worries Nick the perfect role is coming for you, keep pushing and stay motivated in the meantime.
