Ice Cube and Common Team for New Song “Real People” From Barbershop

Ice Cube and Common both star in the upcoming movie Barbershop: The Next Cut, which hits theaters April 15. (Eve and Nicki Minaj are also in the new movie) They’ve also joined forces for “Real People” a track that will appear on the film’s soundtrack.  Speaking with Complex about the film and song, the two rappers looked back on their former beef back in the ’90s, which they’ve since resolved. “I think we’ve been fans of each other from afar,” Common remarked. Ice Cube, meanwhile, said the conflict was a “misunderstanding” Ice Cube addressed rumors of a potential role in Marvel’s upcoming Spiderman reboot (“If I’m not playing Spiderman, I’m not doing shit,” he remarked) and turned any down hopes of a potential Straight Outta Compton sequel anytime soon.
