ANNE LYNN “LULA” STRONG – WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Can you tell me what’s in a name? No, really. I’m not trying to be on some Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet type of thing, but you have to ask yourself. What is in a name? Many may say it’s just given to them by their parents, and others may say it’s a name that’s been passed on from their father’s, father to their father‘s, father. You know, the Sr., Jr., 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation names that‘s been given to a man’s first born son. At the same time, some may simply say with pride, “It’s a name I‘ve given myself“, without thoroughly explaining why they’ve chosen to carry it with them for the rest of their lives. But according to Anne Lynn “Lula” Strong, what she sees in a name is most definitely healing, protection, and a life filled abundantly with years of promise. Holding all power when it comes to the sweetest name ever known, Jesus. It is the name Ms. Lula glorifies, confides in, and gives praises to in her time of need whether she’s in pain, or just want to say “thank you”, for the many days she has been rewarded to see as they continue to pass by. Born in the year 1910, Ms. Lula celebrated her 104th birthday this Saturday on March 15th. Without having any knowledge of social media in this day and age, over 5 million people had wished Ms. Lula a happy birthday on Facebook. As she was given her birthday cake from her caregivers, all that had uttered from her mouth were praises of thanks and glory to the Most High, for allowing her to live for so many years. Ms. Strong shares, “…I call the Right Man. Jesus. She [Marie, the caregiver] can‘t do what Jesus can do it”. So again I ask you, what’s in a name? Is it a “renowned warrior” who goes by the name of Lula and celebrates life peacefully and humbly? Or a woman who’s life has motivated others while being the representation of a will to keep living.
