‘Xzibit’s Broken Ground LA Premiere

On Monday February 18th, 2019 Street Motivation Magazine attended a special event held at the Rave Baldwin Hills 15 Movie Theatre for the Pan African Film Festival. Once we arrived there was red carpet, lots of camera action and plenty of smiles from fans, family and celebrities such as Alex Thomas, Battle Cat, Crooked I, producer Dae One, Sir Jinx, PAFF co-founder and executive director Ayuko Babu and radio industry mogul and panel moderator for the evening Big Boy were also in attendance and  to support the new release.   This is only the first season but the team from Open Bar Entertainment COO Manager Taydoe is on the move to show the world this new dope film.

The star of this film was none other than our very own rap legend “James Savage” formally known as Jayo Felony.   Back in the early 90’s Jayo Felony had hits like “I CAN GIVE IT TO YOU BUT WHAT YOU GONE DO WIT IT”, “HOTTER THAN FISH GREASE” and his song was featured in the 1994 movie “Jason’s Lyrics” with a single titled “BROTHERS AND SISTAS” which was Top R&B Albums chart and was a Top 20 Billboard 200 ranking album.  Introduced to the game by legend DJ Jam Master Jay, Jay saw his talent and knew then that Jayo was a force to be reckoned with no matter what he puts his mind to. Today the name Jayo Felony is now the past and he brings us his government name along with a new film and new music.

The digital music series is titled “Broken Ground” produced by none other but our very own west coast legendary rapper, television personality and actor Alvin “Xzibit” Joiner with Open Bar Entertainment.  The movie starred James Savage, Xzibit, Anthony Michael Hall, Anna Hutchinson, and Sticky Fingaz with the first season of “Broken Ground” detailing the life of James Savage rise, fall and return to the music industry.

The film is 60 minutes and if you’re an artist, it will leave you feeling like you need to level up on your game, for those non-artists, you’ll know that your money was well spent.   Personally we at Street Motivation can’t wait to see it again and again. Visit www.openbarent.com to get connected and to find out if the film is in your city.
